Which shoes do you think would be a better choice?

I've had my uggs for about 3 years now and since i've worn them basically everyday every winter, they're starting to get a little worn out. For christmas i can only ask for either a new pair of short uggs or the slipper bear paw kinds. I would ask for bear paw boots but they have easily broken on my friends and i just overall prefer ugg. (don't complain to me that i should just get the bear paw because they're cheaper, i feel much more comfortable in uggs and they're much more sturdy for me. I was thinking i could ask for the uggs and then by the slippers with any money i get for christmas, but im also saving up for a new hair straightener
