Why do Protestants think praying the Rosary is idolatry?

Simple ,my friend.....because they are ignorant on Scripture, history, and their own traditions. Keep in mind the quote from Cardinal Newman a convert from the Episcopal Church, "To be immersed in history, is to cease to be Protestant" In simply words when you learn hisotry you will stop being Protestant
