What should i do?

i had this female colleague who later became my best friend even after i quit from my job.later on,i went back to the job on my boss' request.that was when we had a disagreement.she obviously wasn't happy with me for going back to the job.coz she told me so.she wanted me to understandthat she has a family to feed(she's a divorcee with 3 kids) and put an impression that my working there will only deter her job.but she couln't understand that as a single parent of a 2 year old boi,i need to feed my son and myslf too.so to make peace with her,i worked secretly w/out her knowledge.when she found out,she sent me msgs full of angry words and we stopped talking.but today,while i was working,she came.i tried to talk to her but the way she looked at me was so full of hatred and anger.she gave me the cold shoulder.i told my boss about our prob and she told me to just ignore.after,it isn't her place.what do u think i should do?should i continue working or quit?i noe what i did was wrong.
